UCI Indoor Cycling World Championships

Competition Format

• The riders or athletes are required to perform stunts and tricks to earn points. These tricks are called "Exercises".
• The bicycles are of fixed-gear, with a one-to-one ratio between the chainring and the sprocket.
• Each round has five minutes of performance and the panel of judges scores the contestants according to their performances.
• The competition can have singles, pairs, four-man or even six-man teams.
• Cycle ball is a sport similar to football but played on bicycles. The sport is often termed as "radball".
• The cyclists ride fixed-gear bicycles that do not have freewheels or brakes installed in them.
• The ball is controlled by the bicycle and the head only (except for when defending the goal).
• The court or the surface used for cycle ball is same as for Artistic Cycling.
