Sports Name: Cricket

In a world where cramming books to secure good grades is the foremost preference, children are somewhere lacking in health, morale as well as sportsmanship that teach them a lot, making them better for their future. By stressing more about mental exercises and less towards sports or any physical activity, children are getting prone to diseases. With the introduction of digital equipment, the modes of entertainment have been completely altered.

Children spent most of their time either on school projects or with their PlayStations which is ultimately leading them towards an unhealthy life. Sports do not mean to provide an expert level in a particular game but playing a game improves the physical and mental standards. Here are five reasons that will justify the need for physical activities or sports for the overall grooming of a child.

Physical and Mental Balance

All work and no play make Jack a dull guy.

We all are familiar with this proverb that explains the whole and sole of the point in itself. It has been observed that a child indulges only in studies somewhere drags in other fields of life. On the other hand, a child who devotes equal time to both physical and mental activities, grooms in a better way, having more potential and optimism than the former.

Sports or physical activities not only make children physically fit but also improves their mental level, building their character idealistically. You might have heard of people of age 21 who are getting heart attacks. It is because they are not involved in any regular physical activity or in any sports. If you are too busy with your work and not getting enough time to spend with your children, you must get your children enrolled in any sport of their choice. By doing so it creates a positive effect on a child’s mental as well as physical health.

Builds Socialism

By joining any sport, children become a part of a group or team which creates a special bond between them. Spending most of their time with people from various religions and regions broadens their understanding of different cultures and traditions. Children get diversified knowledge when they interact with others. Besides that, they also get an opportunity to learn from those who perform better than them and may also help others in imbibing qualities they have. Sports help children coming out of their shells (comfort zone), making them more interactive and aware of their surroundings.

Self Confidence

Children need to know about their positive and negative points so that they may improve and sports give them the required environment in which they can explore their capabilities. They participate, perform and win. This flow helps them to build their self-confidence to act better not only in sports but also in academics. It helps children in knowing their area of interest and brings the maturity of mind so that they can correct themselves and overcome the bars in life.

Time Management

Sports teach a lot about time management. Each sport is performed with a deadline either it is an individual performance or a team game. In sports timing counted as one of the key elements to perform well and emerge victoriously. A child involved in sports or in physical activity has been seen to be more scheduled with his/her daily routine works and a routined life helps them in being physically as well as mentally healthy. They complete all their work within an allotted time and hence have more time to invest in others activities necessary for their development.

Helps in making decisions

Being a part of a sport does not mean that you can do anything you wish. Any wrong decision taken by a player may lead to losing a prestigious match. Being a part of the team helps children in learning how to take worthwhile decisions in the game for sake of the team and implement the same in their life with greater efforts for the welfare of society as well as the nation. Children learn to survive, to win, to endure, and above all have an optimistic approach towards the goal. So if you want your child to be active and fit throughout his/her life, then you shouldn’t stop him/her from getting involved in any sports activity.

Hope these tips may work for you to be a better guide for you so that you may win in every field of life.
