Another disheartening news for sports enthusiasts as the iconic Paris-Roubaix cycle race 2020 is cancelled. The cancellation was implemented by the organizers on Friday due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in northern France.

The long history pertaining classic springtime race in its 118th edition was supposed to include cycle race on long stretches with cobbled paths. The event is postponed since 12th April and now will take place on 11th April 2021 according to the organizers. The cycling’s spring classic is shifted to the European fall season where the Lige-Bastogne-Lige organized in the city of Belgium last Sunday and another event Tour of Flanders scheduled for 18th October.
