Exciting news for racing sports fans as Jenson Button is going to make his debut in the GT3 in British GT championship’s final round at Silverstone next month (7th / 8th of November). Button is a 15-time Grand Prix winner and Formula 1 2009 champion. He will drive the McLaren 720S GT3 along with Jenson Team Rocket RJN outfit which he co-owns with Bob Neville (RJN boss). He will share his car with Chris Buncombe, his lifelong friend.

After his F1 career, Button has also participated in the Japanese Super GT championships and won the 2018 title with Naoki Yamamoto. He also did a part-campaign in the FIA World Endurance Championship with SMP Racing LMP1, where he participated in the 24 hours Le Mans in the year 2018. He had his last victory at Silverstone during the British GT 1999’s support bill when he was only 19 years old. Since the 2018 WEC round, the upcoming three hours Silverstone 500 is going to be his first race on home soil. Both of them, Button and Buncombe test at Silverstone by the end of this month. The race will take place under strict regulations and no spectators will be allowed to attend the event but fans must be going gaga over Button’s debut in GT3.
