Jammu's Powerlifter clinched 3 golds in World Powerlifting Championship

Jammu's youth powerlifter, Rakesh Kumar, won three gold medals at the recently held 21st World Powerlifting Championship, organized under World Powerlifting Federation.

Rakesh Kumar bagged gold medals in powerlifting, bench press and deadlift in the 110 Kg master category.

The tournament was organized by the Amateur Powerlifting Federation of India at the Divisional sports Indoor stadium, Amaravati, Maharashtra.

Simrandeep Singh, Secretary to Government, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, J&K has praised his outstanding achievements and expressed his best wishes for future championships.
