This year has seen plenty of crisis and setbacks due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many major sporting tournaments and matches have been cancelled or postponed. Another disheartening news for golf fans amid the pandemic is the Hero World Challenge of golf that was planned to be hosted at Albany, Bahamas is cancelled for 2020. Tiger Woods' TGR Foundation shared the news on social media channels on Monday. The tournament was to be conducted from 3rd to 6th December between the top 18 golfers of the world. The officials have explained the reason behind the cancellation is the ongoing pandemic and travel restrictions. Now, the top 18 golfers of the world will participate in next year’s tournament to be hosted again in Albany, Bahamas.
