Another heartbreaking news for sports fans as on Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo has been tested positive for coronavirus. The Portuguese Football Federation announced on their website that he is asymptomatic and will not play in Wednesday’s UEFA Nations League match against Sweden. The federation further added that other squad members are tested negative in the tests.

Ronaldo has won the Ballon d’Or five times and has scored 101 goals for Portugal. His absence is going to matter a lot to the team. Due to Ronaldo’s contagious disease, he is going to miss the Juve’s Serie A match that will be organized at Crotone on Saturday as well as the Italian champion’s opening league group stage match at Dynamo Kiev. Also, he might not be present in the Champions League match of Juventus against Barcelona on October 28, which is a most-awaited match as Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will come against each other. He is the highest-profile footballer to be tested positive amongst the ones who were infected from this virus.
