2020 has been a tough year because of the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. It has led to a worldwide crisis and pandemic. However, the condition now is regarded as the "new normal" and a lot of sporting events have been resumed. But the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has cancelled the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the 2020 season. BCB president Nazmul Hasan has confirmed the news. Apart from the pandemic, Hasan also shared that foreign players are unavailable at this time making the league impossible to arrange. Bangladesh cricketers have played their last international match in March 2020 against Zimbabwe and both other tours in Srilanka and Pakistan were cancelled due to the pandemic.
