Badminton: Nozomi Okuhara beats Carolina Marin to win Denmark Open title

On Sunday, 18th October, Nozomi Okuhara defeated Olympic badminton champion Carolina Marin and bagged the title of Denmark Open BWF Super-750 tournament in Odense. The Japanese star player has successfully defeated Marin in their match in 2019’s semi-finals as well with 21-19, 21-27. Okuhara had previously faced seven losses in the finals including the Denmark Open of 2019. But still, she didn’t lose hope and won this year’s title, her first victory since 2018 Hong Kong Open. The match was exciting to witness where Okuhara presented her great defence skills in the first game but Marin gave her a very tough fight. The finale match continued for 56 minutes after which Okuhara won the crown of winner.
