The Xfinity Center is a well-known indoor arena and a prominent venue for students’ activities, situated in Maryland, UnitedStates. The students of the University of Maryland use this arena as a major venue for all their activities. This arena is considered as the largest in the state of Maryland and the secondlargest in the WashingtonDC, the largest being VerizonCenter. The arena has adequate facilities for conducting graduation ceremonies, concerts, state high school basketball tournaments and various other special events, having the seating capacity of around 19,000. There is a multi-purpose room with 400seats, used for meetings, press conferences, and banquets. There is a large video board with a capability of displaying a single image, live videos, and replays. This video screen is divided into two different windows for displaying animations, graphics, game statistics and for scoring information and advertisements.
The Duke and The Terrapins played against each other in this arena on 18th January 2003.
Maryland Terrapins women’s basketball matches were conducted here in 2006.
Maryland Terrapins men’s basketball matches were held in this arena in 2004.
