The Dom Sportova has been the home for KHL Medvescak Zagreb since its inception in 1972. Around thirty clubs train in this arena daily and conduct competitions.

The arena hosted the European Basketball Championship in 1989. In this tournament, the home team of Yugoslavia also participated and won the gold medal.
