Born on 8th January 1981, in Guangzhou, China, Xie Xingfang is a prominent badminton player who has earned numerous accolades in international level competitions predominantly in singles events.
Her achievements:-
- Bagged two gold medals in girls’ doubles and girls’ team at the Asian Junior Championship of 1999
- Won gold and a bronze medal in girls’ doubles and mixed doubles at the World Junior Championship of 1998, held in Melbourne
- In 2004, she bagged a gold medal in a team event at the World Team Championships for Women, held in Jakarta
- Clinched a gold medal at the championships of 2008
- Bagged a silver medal again in 2008 in the women’s singles at the Beijing Olympics
- Secured gold medals in women’s singles at the BWF World Championships of 2005 and 2006, and participated again in the same championship in 2009 securing silver in the same event
