Born on 19th February 1986 in Brazil, Marta Vieira da Silva is a Brazilian soccer player, plays for FC Rosengård in the Swedish Damallsvenskan and for the national team of Brazil as a forward. After surpassing the previous record of Birgit Prinz of14 goals against South Korea, Marta currently holds the record of most no. of goals scored at the FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, with 15 goals.
