The 2018 German Grand Prix (formally known as the Formula 1 Emirates Großer Preis von Deutschland 2018) is a Formula One motor race that is due to be held on 22 July 2018. After a one-year absence from the championship, the race returned to the Hockenheimring near Hockenheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The circuit last held the race in 2016. It will be the eleventh round of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship, and marks the seventy-eighth running of the German Grand Prix, and the sixty-third time the race has been run as a round of the World Championship since the series' inception in 1950.
