The 2018 Vuelta a España is a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race.The race is scheduled to start in Málaga and finish in Madrid.
On 25 August 2018, the 73th edition of the Vuelta a España will depart from Málaga. The race is set to start with an individual time trial of 8 kilometres, while the riders roll down the ramp at the Centre Pompidou Málaga. The Andalucian coastal town has been the host city for the start of the Spanish Grand Tour twice in the race’s history – in 2000 and in 2006. As early as stage 2 the Tour of Spain sees its first uphill finish – at Caminito del Rey – while the race brings a total of nine mountain top finishes. On 16 September, the 2018 edition of La Vuelta will finish in Madrid.
