First Direct Arena is one of the most popular arenas in England and has been nominated many times as one of the greatest landmarks in England. It has been honoured as the best new venue in the world in the year 2014. This multi-facility center is owned by Leeds City Council and is operated by the SMG (Southern Management Group). Famous architecture firm Populous designed the structure of this multi-facility arena. The arena also plays host to comedy events, family shows, boxing, UFC, Karate, and ice dancing events.
