The Chase Field is a famous baseball park, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, which is Phoenix’s Major League Baseball franchise. The venue is located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It was opened in 1998 with Diamondbacks’ first game as an expansion team. Chase field had to be constructed as a domed stadium as Phoenix is the hottest major city in the entire North America. The Chase Field occasionally hosts international soccer games and concerts. This venue was the site of the "Challenge at Chase", a college baseball game held between the Arizona State and the University of Arizona.
Significance
- Three first-round matches of the World Baseball Classic were held at the Chase Field in March 2006.
- A bull riding event was hosted at this venue by the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) in February 2006.
- The most runs scored by the Diamondbacks at this venue are 17, the most recent one being against the Colorado Rockies.
- In 2011, the Major-League Baseball All-Star Game was hosted by the Chase Field.
- The venue has a swimming pool located in the right-center of the field which is rented to patrons as a suite.
- The stadium has hosted nine women’s college basketball games.
- The Monster Energy Supercross and the Monster Jam has also been held at this venue.
