The riders who belong to teams with the same playing agent or main partner may not participate in the same race with an exception of an individual event.
The license holder of the team may be excluded if he/she damages the image of cycling or of the race. The decision of expulsion shall be imposed by the president of the commissionaires and the organizer as well.
Riders shall not drop or throw anything on the roadway but shall draw to the side of the road and safely deposit the belonging there. Carrying of or use of glass objects is strictly forbidden.
If any rider is dropping out from the race then he/she must immediately remove the body numberand hand over the same to the commissaire or to the broom wagon. That rider should not cross the finish line then.
Any vehicle that has access to the race course shall bear a distinguishing sign.
The organiser of the event must place–permanent panels displaying: km zero i.e. the real start point, the 50th km and then the last 25, 20, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2 km points. The organiser shall also display500m, 300m, 200m, 150m, 100m, and 50m distances from the finishing line along with a red triangle that indicates the last kilometer.
If a rider has been declared disqualified before the result of the race is sanctioned then the rider’s classification and the team classification shall be adjusted where ever it is applicable.
,Majorly two officials are required in cycling to perform the variety of roles which involvessupervising pre and post-race formalities. It also includes briefing the riders and race officials, checking the compliance of equipment with the norms and much more. When sitting with the panel, they serve as a race jury which is chaired by the Chief Commissaire who is responsible for resolving the controversial decisions. The Chief Commissaire is the ultimate authority of the event.
,The single day races may be as long as 240 km in the distance. The course may run from place to place or may compose of one or more laps of a circuit. The short circuit races that are commonly held in towns or city centers are called as criteriums.
An individual time trial (ITT) is a race in which the cyclist rides alone on a flat or a rolling terrain, or on a mountainous road against the clock. On the other hand, a team time trial (TTT) incorporates two-man team time trial, is a road based bicycle race in which the teams of cyclists race against the time.
It consists of various races or, or stages that are ridden consecutively. The cyclist whose cumulative time of all the stages is the least is declared as the winner.
These are very long single staged events where the race time goes continuously from start to finish. Such a race goes on for several days, and the riders take short breaks according to their schedules. The one who crosses the finish line first is the winner.
