Discus Throw is a track and field (throwing) athletics event in which athletes throw a heavy disc known as a "discus" as far as possible to win the competition. Myron statue- Discobolus, it is supposed to be an ancient sport. The sport was a part of the ancient Greek pentathlon competitions in 708BC. Discus throw is a part of modern Olympics since the first Games in 1896 for men and since 1928 for women.
