These are one of the most important layers of canoeing-kayaking clothing which work close to the skin. Its layers trap the heat and help dry moisture away quickly, which helps to keep the paddler warm and balance the body temperature.
The canoe-kayak athletes' clothing are ergonomically cut which allows maximum range of movement to the paddler without rubbing, which is critical while paddling.
Thermal base layers, breathable paddle jackets and trousers are all worn by the paddlers while playing the sport.
Two boats are used in the sport of canoe sprint which is the canoe and the kayak. The difference between the two is of the size of the boat, the type of paddle used i.e. single or double paddled and the posture of the athlete.
The ICF recognized races take place on the straight courses at the distances of 200m, 500m, 1000m and 5000m in canoe sprint.
