Bog snorkelling includes swimming on a muddy trench with the aid of flippers and snorkel. Snorkelling is usually conducted in a sunny climate and clear water in a murky mud bog.
The World Bog Snorkelling Championship is held in every year. Today, bog snorkelling events are popular in Wales, Australia, Ireland and Sweden.
The objective of bog snorkelling events is to swim through a muddy trench (cut through into a bog or bogland) in the minimum time. The participants are required to wear flippers and snorkels throughout their bogland.
The players complete two lengths each of 60 yards bog, filled with cold and murky water. In the end, the swimmer who has completed the race first in the shortest span and least penalties becomes the winner.
