The match consists of two halves of 45-minutes and a 15-minute half-time break and if required, over time. The end of the match is called full-time.
Only the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms, and it can be done only within the penalty area in front of their own goal.
Substitutions can take place many times during a match and can be performed without informing the referee. However, the substitute must not enter the field before the out-going player has left it otherwise, a penalty (a five-minute ban) may be imposed on him/her.
Warnings and Penalties
A ten-minute penalty may be imposed on a player by showing him/her a blue card who misbehaves with other players, blocks the ball or attacks the opponents violently. If a player is penalised three times, it will be a personal penalty means the player can no longer play that match. A substitute can replace him/her after 5-10 minutes. There is also a full-game penalty indicated by a red card which is imposed for using abusive language or directly attacking an opponent.
Penalty shots are awarded in case of following offences within the team’s penalty area:-
