The York Hall, situated on Old Ford Road in Bethnal Green, London, is one of the best-known boxing venues of Britain and one of the best health and leisure centers of UK. Opened in 1929, York Hall is amongst the oldest boxing rinks of London. Apart from the boxing stage, York Hall also provides a world class gymnasium and swimming pool that makes it one of the popular places among all residents of London. In 2004, the hall was saved from big threatened and the next year it underwent a big multimillion-pound renovation through a joint project between Greenwich refurbishment and Tower Hamlets council. The hall is opened in 1929 by the Duke of York.
York Hall is separated into three sections: a leisure center with a large pool and most updated gymnasium; a Spa equipped with all modern equipment and a multi-event hall.
Formerly opened as the Turkish bathhouse, York Hall was voted as the 6th best place in the world to enjoy the live boxing.
