In the year 1941, the stadium was renamed as Carolina Stadium. Eventually, it has got its present name. The construction of the stadium began in the month of May in 1934 and completed in October of the same year, specifically designed by Robert L. Sumwalt. It is the home of South Carolina Gamecocks, a college football team of the University of South Carolina.
