Being the home stadium for Madrid Spain, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is a well-known stadium, counted as one of the stunning and spectacular stadia of the world. Located in Chamartin district, it was officially opened in the year 1947, on 14th December and further renovated in 1982 and 2001. It was expanded in 1953, 1992, 1994 and 2011. Around 288,342, 653 Ptas (€ 1,732,943) have been spent on the construction and renovation of the stadium till now. This stadium was designed by architect Manuel Muñoz Monasterio and Luis Alemany Soler.
The stadium has hosted European Cup final for four times (in 1957, 1969, 1980 and 2010).
It has witnessed four matches of FIFA World Cup including the final match between Italy and West Germany on 11th July 1982.
