Tennis racquets must have a maximum length of 29 inches including the length of hitting surface of 15.5 inches and the maximum width of 12.5 inches. Modern racquets are usually made of composite materials like carbon graphite, ceramics or from lighter materials like titanium. String tension is an important factor in racquets and must be tight enough for good control over the ball.
