The dressage phase is performed on a 100 x 40 meters rectangle. The cross-country marathon is run over a course which includes natural hazards like sharp turns, water and steep hills and artificial ones like labyrinths. The obstacle (cones) driving is done on a narrow track around 70 x 120 meters or an equivalent area outlined by cones with balls balanced on top of them.
